Alias

An optional, voluntary alternative identifier for an individual end user’s dean, used the same way as a DEAN for identifying an account in payments.

Key facts (`FUR.08`–`FUR.15`)

Must be a phone number owned by/attributed to the individual end user.
Strictly one-to-one with a DEAN.
Requires verification on registration (e.g. OTP to the phone number) — skipped if the alias is already registered with that PSP for that user.
On a mobile number change, the end user can request an alias change through their PSP’s access management features, which re-triggers verification. PSPs are recommended to periodically reconfirm alias validity.
Business end users cannot use an alias (FUR.15) — DEAN only.
