Eurosystem

The ecb plus the national central banks (see ncb) of the euro area, acting together as issuer and infrastructure operator of the beta digital euro during the pilot.

Eurosystem-provided services (pilot)

From src-business-architecture, the Eurosystem provides and hosts:

• DESP — desp, the digital euro service platform (access gateway, settlement, DCA management).
• Offline Wallet, Offline SDK, Trusted Service Manager, Offline Issuance Service — the components of the offline-payments solution. The pilot PSP only needs to integrate the Offline Distribution Service into its own backend; the rest is Eurosystem-managed.
• Connectivity via the DESP Access Gateway that pilot-psps use to invoke Eurosystem services.

Relationship to pilot PSPs

Eurosystem services are the counterpart to pilot-psp-side integration work — this is the split most relevant to implementation: anything Eurosystem-provided is out of scope to build, anything PSP-provided (backend infrastructure, business logic, UX) is in scope.
