Pilot timeline

Three phases per src-timeline: preparation → development → operational.

Milestones (Table 1)

1. Pilot PSPs receive documentation, begin preparation/development.
2. Onboard to the test environment (src-onboarding-overview).
3. Start user testing for start-of-pilot scope.
4. Complete development required for pilot start.
5. Finalise user testing + DESP backend certification.
6. Onboard to the production environment.
7. Onboard business end users (before end of development phase).
8. Start onboarding individual end users.
9. Start offering pilot payment services — continues to end of operational phase.
10. Start support for business/individual end users upon integration/onboarding.
11. Start providing PSP feedback (dev phase → pilot close) and collecting end-user feedback (pilot start → pilot close) — see psp-feedback-framework.

Headline dates

• 5 March 2026 — call for expression of interest published.
• 14 May 2026, 17:00 CET — application deadline.
• H2 2027 — pilot operational phase starts, runs ~12 months.
